Optimizing Test Yield: Multitest’s MT2168 Ensures Best Positioning Accuracy

Multitest, a designer and manufacturer of final test handlers, contactors and load boards used by integrated device manufacturers (IDMs) and final test subcontractors worldwide, announces that its MT2168 pick-and-place handler offers significant yield advantages based on its unique and industry-leading positioning concept.

Whereas traditional handlers are able to align only the positioning of packages as a whole or in groups, the MT2168 places each individual package in the optimum position relative to the contactor, even in high parallel test setup. The self alignment is performed in all six degrees of freedom and, therefore, solves any deviations in planarity or outline.

Optimizing the package positioning without any drawback on throughput, even for high parallel testing, allows the customer to benefit fully from the speed and capacity of the MT2168.
