IPC Government Relations Committee Gets Boost from New Members

IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries® announces the additions of Bhawnesh Mathur, CEO, EPIC Technologies, and Ray Sharpe, CEO, Isola Group SARL, to the IPC Government Relations (GR) Steering Committee.

Representing companies in industry sectors not previously represented on the IPC GR Committee, Mathur and Sharpe are “… valuable additions to the GR committee,” says GR Committee Chairman Mikel Williams, president and CEO of DDi Corp. “Their knowledge, broad experience and leadership roles in our industry will be extremely helpful as IPC continues to advocate for our industry on legislative and regulatory issues around the world.” EPIC Technologies is a global EMS company. Isola SARL is a global supplier of laminates and other materials used in multilayer printed boards.

Mathur and Sharpe join a prestigious roster of members on the IPC Government Relations Committee, including Williams; Jack Calderon, managing director, Lincoln International; Dan Feinberg, president, Fein-Line Associates; Nilesh Naik, CEO, OneSource Group; Joe O’Neil, president, Hunter Technology Corp.; Mark Osborn, president, Colonial Circuits Inc.; and Irene Sterian, manager of Advanced Process Development, Celestica.

At IPC APEX EXPO, the IPC Government Relations Committee will host the free IPC GR Open Forum on April 12, 2011 at 11:00 am PT. The one-hour forum will provide information on the committee’s current initiatives in government support for a permanent research and development (R&D) tax credit and the future supply of electronics to the military as well as others. Industry members are invited to attend and share their thoughts and concerns regarding future regulatory and legislative issues the committee should address.
