During a forum on November 15, 2007 from 11-11:30 a.m. in Hall 6, Stand 421, MB will discuss benefits to using less electricity. Electricity costs are currently high and are forecast to increase for the long term. New technologies are being developed to reduce the electricity consumption in reflow ovens and wave solder machines. Recent studies in EMS factories demonstrate up to 15 percent reduction of electricity use on new or old ovens when utilizing thermal process optimization software. MBs presentation will review the product functionality, research methodology and results on energy consumption at three electronics manufacturing factories that implemented the new thermal process optimization software.
Based in San Diego, KIC is the industry leader in automated thermal management tools and systems for reflow, wave, cure and semiconductor thermal processes. The company pioneered the development of oven profilers and process development tools, and then worked to create the next generation of thermal systems to help manufacturers optimize and monitor thermal processes.
In addition to SlimKIC 2000-LF, products include standard SlimKIC 2000, the KIC 24/7 continuous monitoring system and more. With the introduction of cutting edge tools, the company continues to stay on the leading edge of process optimization and real-time thermal management systems, and has won numerous industry awards.
