Yamaichi Electronics Recognized

April 2003, San Jose, CA � Texas Instruments has selected Yamaichi Electronics as an official recipient of the 2002 Supplier Excellence Award (SEA). Yamaichi Electronics, a worldwide manufacturer of socket and interconnect components, has been recognized by Texas Instruments for outstanding performance and continuous improvement in the supply of Test & Burn-In sockets to Texas Instruments.

The SEA is a key vehicle to communicate Texas Instruments standard of excellence to all suppliers. The annual award, honors 29 companies from a field of over 31,000 TI suppliers, who have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to supplying Texas Instruments with top products and services. Recipients of the award are an elite group of suppliers chosen for their exemplary performance in the areas of Cost Environmental Responsibility, Technology, Responsiveness, Assurance of Supply and Quality.

The award will be presented to Mr. Alfred Muranaga, President of Yamaichi Electronics USA, Inc.
