White Electronic Designs Receives $1.1 Million Order For SBLR Displays

Phoenix, AZ

White Electronic Designs Corporation (NASDAQ: WEDC) announced today that its Display Products Division has received a $1.1 million order for optically enhanced and environmentally ruggedized displays using Super Bright Low Reflection (SBLR(TM)) technology.

The displays will be used in avionics applications such as Control Display Units (CDUs) for cockpit instrumentation in commercial business jets and air transport planes where the ambient light precludes the use of conventional flat panel displays.

"This order reflects the growing demand for avionics displays that are capable of managing ambient light in a way that guarantees image clarity and resolution in broad daylight. Our patented SBLR(TM) technology represents the leading edge of Display Enhancement Technology and it is fast becoming the standard by which other enhancement technologies are judged." Stated Hamid Shokrgozar, Chairman and CEO of White.

White Electronic Designs Corporation supplies the wired and wireless communications industry with semiconductor products that support network systems, switches, base stations, and other hardware platforms.
