U.S. Patent No. 6,257,911 Licensed to Major International Companies and

Available for Domestic Companies

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Garland, Texas; U.S. Patent No. 6,257,911 has been licensed to Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. of Korea, Sharp Corporation of Japan, Toshiba Corporation of Japan, and IBM.

The 911 Patent entitled Low Insertion Force Connector with Wipe is well suited for use in automated test fixtures and connection characteristic testing. The Patent discloses an innovative design to increase the number of contact points between a pin and socket. In addition, this technology allows both the sensing of Kelvin and noise upstream on the pin. There are three paths that are insulated from each other after the pin is inserted. The center path is the inner conductor, which can be the high current path. The outer conductor can be used to sense Kelvin or noise and provides a wiping function. You can optionally increase the current path using one or both of the outer conductors in conjunction with the inner conductor to carry higher current.

The owner and joint inventor, James B. Goodman, stated that there is a great need for an efficient low insertion force connector in the industry. The invention also includes a wipe feature which is important for accurate testing.

The licensing is being handled exclusively by the Law Offices of David Fink.

Non-exclusive licenses are available in the U.S.
