ViTECHNOLOGY, SIEMENS DEMATIC COOPERATE TO IMPROVE MANUFACTURING PROCESSES

ViTechnology and Siemens Dematic announce a stronger cooperation between the two companies to provide the highest level of manufacturing excellence to their customers in the Americas. As part of this customer benefits oriented cooperation, Siemens Dematic will include ViTechnology AOI systems with Vectoral Imaging in the supported equipment list of its future Manufacturing Performance Monitoring and Control Software �Siplace Explorer�.

Vectoral Imaging is ViTechnology�s patented enabling AOI technology, which compares the graphical characteristics of inspected components with known �standards� that are maintained in a customer-definable library. Unlike the more common gray scale correlation, Vectoral Imaging is less affected by background clutter, overlapping parts, and component rotation. When combined with SPC software, it provides a complete quality information system that dramatically reduces defects in the manufacturing process.

SIPLACE Explorer is a new software system for monitoring the performance of complete Siemens Dematic SMT lines, including SIPLACE placement systems, SIPLACE printers, and SIPLACE ovens. SIPLACE Explorer is targeted primarily towards the Process Engineer and the Maintenance Technician, and allows the user to acquire information about the complete SMT production process. Additionally, detailed information about the production process could be utilized by experienced Manufacturing Consultants.

With the slogan �monitor any data you want, in any way, and from anywhere,� supported by the flexibility of a toolkit, the web-enabled SIPLACE Explorer can be customized extensively according to the users� requirements, and can provides precise real-time or historical information required by the user.
