Lacon Electronic GmbH acquires TRI's AOI Solution for Zero Tolerance

Jul 12, 2018

Lacon Electronic GmbH, the German leading electronics manufacturing services for mechatronic, has acquired TRI's AOI TR7500QE. Test Research, Inc. (TRI), the world-class test and inspection systems provider for the electronics manufacturing industry, is pleased to contribute for a higher quality production and honored to announce becoming part of the Approved Vendor List (AVL) for Lacon Electronic GmbH.

Lacon Electronic GmbH offers printed circuit boards assembling, cable assemblies, encapsulation, appliance assembly, switchgear cabinets, labeling and marking, industrial engineering, distribution, end of life management, and embedded systems services.

Lacon Electronic GmbH describes TRI's AOI TR7500QE as an algorithm based inspection system with accurate and precise physical and optical characteristic of modules. The "False Calls" are minimized as components are controlled against clear target data rather than just by comparing component mappings.

The advantages of an algorithm-based AOI system are high accuracy and repeatability of the measurements. The amount of false call lowers, even inspecting high volumes. Algorithm-based systems reduce the programming effort and time, increasing the operating time. The Inspection algorithm library is more flexible for high mix and low volume production. It also applies to increase the tolerance for colors, component sizes, and solder joints. TRI's algorithm-based AOI system assures accurate reproducibility of component positions.

TRI has the complete PCBA Inspection solutions for achieving top-tier production line, continuously bringing high performance and High-Speed Inspection system to provide its customers with High-Quality SMT production.
