Dale Lee joins Valor with over 20 years hands-on design and manufacturing experience in the electronics industry. Before Valor, Lee worked as a Corporate Staff Engineer in the Advanced Technology Group at MSL, one of the world's leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies, where he was responsible for implementing automated DFM systems corporate-wide and recommending process development improvements, new technologies and software tools for their global manufacturing operations. Prior to MSL, Lee worked as a consultant to the electronics industry providing design analyses for cost reductions, manufacturing optimization and DFM training. Lee has also worked in various engineering and technical positions for leading blue chip companies including Iomega, Motorola and Texas Instruments, and boasts an impressive list of internationally published papers and conference presentations. From 1994 through 1999, Lee held various board member positions for the Surface Mount Technology Association.
"The global electronics manufacturing services market is growing at 25-30% CAGR through 2004*. Dale will be targeting this high-growth sector with Valor's online data service and building a successful business around the VPL component library which, unlike any other parts library, deals with the physical geometries and manufacturing characteristics of components," said Julian Coates, VP corporate marketing at Valor. "Utilizing his vast experience in manufacturing he will also be marketing our Trilogy 5000 product for prototype, pre-production and volume manufacturing. He will play a vital role in working with R&D as we continue to extend the scope of our best-in-class CAM system for assembly, test and machine optimization."
