ASCENTECH to Introduce GEN3 CM+ Systems at IPC/APEX 2016

Feb 15, 2016

The CM+ Series measure the amount of ionic contamination in accordance with all existing test methods often referred to as ROSE testing as well as the new PICT test.

The CM+ Series measure the amount of ionic contamination in accordance with all existing test methods often referred to as ROSE testing as well as the new PICT test.

Ascentech, LLC, the North American distributor for GEN3 Systems products and other quality lines of test and productivity solutions, will be introducing the new GEN3 CM+ Systems at IPC/APEX.  These systems will be shown for the first time in North America during IPC/APEX.  On display in booth #2225 will be the CM22+, one of the award-winning CM+ range of contaminometers from GEN3. This new design is linked to the introduction of the new process control metric introduced by GEN3, e.g., Process Ionic Contamination Testing.

The CM+ Series measure the amount of ionic contamination in accordance with all existing test methods often referred to as ROSE testing as well as the new PICT test. The CM22+ is a freestanding system able to accommodate larger assemblies while maintaining a low surface area to test solution ratio.

The CM+ Contaminometer series utilize a solid gold test-cell, ballistic amplifiers and vigorous pumping systems to ensure superior measurement precision even at very low conductivity values. PC-based software is used to produce graphical test data, a pass/fail analysis and automatic hard copy print out using test methods according to the prevailing standards. CM+ systems also feature high-speed testing in 3 minutes; full regeneration in typically < 6 minutes; accurate measurement even when the ratio of board surface area/test solution volume is large; automatic temperature compensation; measurement in accordance with all international and MIL specifications old and new; a new range of PCB/component handling frames, with an integrated draining system; and more.

Additionally, ASCENTECH will exhibit the Optilia HD camera inspection systems and a BGA inspection station; Ascentech, LLC is the North American Distributor for Optilia Instruments AB. Ascentech will also exhibit the GEN3 Solder Saver, a hand-held, compact system for separating dross from good solder.
