Company chosen as one of most successful PME's for export

St. Laurent, Quebec, April 18th, 2001�Le Journal Les Affaires, one of the largest French-language business publications in Canada, today announced that Coreco has earned the prestigious PME (small and medium-sized business) award for export.

The PME is awarded each year in recognition of a company�s excellence in the following categories: export, manufacturing, service and technology. Coreco was singled out as one of the top 8 of the 300 companies that competed this year.

Coreco Inc. is a leading hardware and software developer of computer vision products serving the machine vision and medical imaging markets, worldwide. �We are delighted to be included in this listing of Quebec�s business elite,� says Philip Colet, VP Sales and Marketing. �The ranking represents our significant sales growth in the international markets and clearly confirms Coreco�s position as a key player in this critically important sector.�

Currently, the company exports 95% of its goods, internationally. On a year-over-year basis, Coreco�s sales to Asia increased by 106%, Europe by 95%, and U.S. by 80%. Sales in Canada increased by 23%. Coreco products are distributed in over 28 countries and enjoy the greatest market coverage in both Europe and Asia. Currently, the U.S., Europe and Asia account for 58%, 21% and 16% of total sales, respectively. In addition, Coreco has direct sales offices in the Eastern, Central and Western parts of the U.S. to better serve customer needs.

Coreco Inc. is a leader in the design, development, manufacturing and marketing of hardware and software for high-performance computer vision applications, primarily in the medical imaging, machine vision and industrial inspection markets.
