BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment for the electronics manufacturing and alternative energy markets, has sold both of the PYRAMAX™ show units on display at the IPC APEX EXPO in San Diego. The units were sold to ULTIMACHINE in South Pittsburg, Tenn., and Progressive Dynamics, Inc. in Marshall, Mich.
Paul Lancaster, director of sales – Americas for BTU, commented, “Electronics manufacturing is evolving to focus more and more on the total cost of the equipment and not just the initial price tag. BTU’s reflow ovens are the benchmark for process control in the industry and our new Energy Pilot software maximizes Cost of Ownership savings. We are pleased to be expanding our customer base in the Americas.”
The PYRAMAX features a maximum temperature of 400°C and a comprehensive menu of options. The sold units both feature ENERGY PILOT, a feature in the latest release of BTU’s windows-based WINCON™ operating system. The ENERGY PILOT software saves manufacturers money whenever the oven is idle. Standby mode can save more than 25 percent. Sleep mode can be used for longer interruptions saving more than 40 percent.
