What You Will Learn from A-Laser MID Tech Day

Feb 04, 2015

A-Laser is pleased to announce that its MID Tech Day is only two weeks away. The FREE event will be held at the A-Laser facility in Milpitas, CA on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015. Industry experts will be on site to discuss various topics and the endless possibilities of Molded Interconnect Devices (MIDs).

Attendees of this technical event will gain valuable knowledge of a product capability that has been revolutionized due to the introduction of laser direct structuring (LDS). LDS has simplified the process of plating on plastics, bringing flexibility to design, enhancing product capability and often at a significant cost savings. MIDs are injection molded or 3D printed thermoplastic parts with integrated circuit traces that provide enormous technical and economic potential and offer improved ecological behavior in comparison to conventional PCBs. These devices will complement circuitry that would be impossible to achieve with other technologies.

This event will outline the entire development of MIDs using LDS and offer solutions to unique application challenges. Key markets and applications for the MID-technology are automotive electronics, medical devices and telecommunication. Additionally, MIDs are suitable for robotics, computers and even household appliances. MIDs make the assembly between electronic, optic and mechanical elements and user defined shaped circuit carriers possible. They enable entirely new functions and support the miniaturization of electronic products. The novel design and functional possibilities offered by MID and the rationalization potentials of the respective production methods inevitably lead to a quantum leap in electronics production.

Join A-Laser on Feb. 19, 2015 for this FREE event and get ahead of the competition by utilizing this innovative technology. For more information and to register for this FREE event, please visit https://a-laser.eventbrite.com/.
