Panasonic Factory Solutions Company of America will highlight scalable, integrated, and efficient total solutions for “any mix, any volume” at the electronics manufacturing trade show SMTA International in booth 522.
"I hold very high expectations for SMTA International this year," said Mark Ragard, Panasonic Factory Solutions Group Manager of Sales. “Our new AM100 modular placement machine is ideal for this high mix market, plus the SPG screen printer and latest Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software offering provide cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality.”
Visitors to the Panasonic booth will see how the AM100’s single head can handle an impressive component array, 6” connectors, odd-shaped components, and advanced packaging types such as PoP - providing manufacturers the scalability they need to run numerous, dissimilar, high-mix products.
Panasonic will also exhibit the SPG, a new, highly efficient screen printer designed to complement the AM100. Equipped with three conveyors and a fast PCB exchange time that helps eliminate the typical printer bottleneck dilemma, the SPG includes Panasonic’s patented uni-floating printing method with high-speed snap-off, which helps reduce solder waste and enables operators to set parameters based on production requirements. The SPG makes print condition adjustments nearly automatic.
PanaCIM® Manufacturing Execution System software will exemplify how integration can solve the key production challenges of maximizing productivity, reducing operating costs, increasing plant-wide visibility, minimizing response time and efficiently allocating assets and personnel. For smaller installations requiring digital data collection, yet do not have a dedicated IT staff, Panasonic will also highlight PanaCIM Express - a completely pre-configured, plug-and-play system for any factory. Mr. Ragard added, “Express, our new MES-in-a-box, has received great interest at its debut and I look forward to bringing it to the Southwest.”
