APEX 2002 Technical Program Comitee Announced

IPC- Association Connecting Electronics Industries® has announced the technical program committee for the IPC SMEMA Council's Electronics Assembly Process Conference & Exhibition (APEX) 2002, which takes place January 22-24, at the San Diego Convention Center.

The committee is comprised of nine individuals who will select and organize the papers that will be presented at the APEX technical conference. The following individuals have accepted the challenge to serve on the committee:

  • Dr. Dan BaldwinAssistant Professor, Georgia Tech
  • Dr. Jim Hutchinson Agilent Technologies
  • Dr. Jenny Hwang President/CEO H-Technologies Group
  • Dr. Wayne Johnson Alumni Professor, Auburn University-AMSTC
  • John Kukowski Universal Instruments
  • Dr. Greg Munie Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, Lucent Technologies
  • Dr. Alan Rae Vice President of Technology, Cookson Electronics
  • Linda Klober Process Development Manager, Celestica International
  • Dr. Shelgon Yee Process Development Manager, Solectron Corporation

Martin Barton, president of Preferred Design, and director of the first two highly successful APEX Technical Conferences, will again chair the committee.

"To ensure the greatest quality, members of the program committee represent every facet of the electronics assembly industry," says Jack Crawford, director, assembly standards and technology. "With their guidance, the APEX 2002 Technical Conference will provide attendees with the most comprehensive assembly-related conference they have ever seen."

A call for papers has also been issued for APEX 2002. Abstracts summarizing the topic must be received by May 31, 2001 and should be approximately 300 words long. Please submit abstracts online at http://www.GoAPEX.org/html/CFPAPEX2002.htm.
