Industry Innovators’ new site highlights now and exciting products

David Perri, President of Caledon Controls Ltd. announced recently the launching of a new web site designed to highlight some of the new and innovative advances his company has been making in the printed circuit board industry.

When making the announcement Perri said, “While we continue to provide exceptional service and quality to the Canadian PCB Industry, Caledon Controls forges ahead in the Printed Electronics (PE) field on an International scale with innovations such as Thermally Conductive Dielectric, Electrically conductive, Electroluminescent and Encapsulating inks. Our plan is to have this newly designed site be the go-to when it comes to all of our new products and innovations.

Adding to its strong folio is PDIM; (Pre-Deposited Images in Metal) film. This unique technology utilizes a proprietary means of SELECTIVE metal vacuum deposition to additively build custom circuits in a roll to roll fashion.

This technology is pushing the boundaries of current “printed” electronics by eliminating the need for conductive inks. Many types of metals can be directly deposited in an additive way to produce many exotic combinations hereto impossible with the constraints of conductive inks. “Beyond Printed Electronics” is available as a service to anyone considering PE technology.
Another recent accomplishment is our 30 second PCB prototype service. Utilizing full metal faced PDIM film (MCP), we can now laser ablate the desired circuit within seconds. A specially developed laser system combining both raster and vector provides unequaled edge definition to the circuit traces emulating the resolution of the PDIM process.

This new service will put proof of concept devices in the hands of product developers within seconds of file transfers.

Established in 1990, we remain focused in servicing the Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing Industry providing quality products, excellence in service and integrity in business practices.
As part of our commitment to offer unique and innovative products, we are pleased to include Printed Electronics in our product offering, a global growing field that is unique and Environmentally Friendly.
