ZESTRON, the worldwide leading provider of cleaning process solutions, services and training for the electronics manufacturing industry, is pleased to announce that Umut Tosun, Application Technology Manager, ZESTRON America, is a featured speaker at PCB West 2012. This conference is scheduled for September 25 - 27 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA. Mr. Tosun will present one hour sessions on the following topics:
“Is Cleaning Critical to POP Assemblies” and “What PCB Designers Must Know About Post-Assembly Cleaning Challenges.”
Mr. Tosun, M.S.Chem.Eng., will present “What PCB Designers Must Know About Post-Assembly Cleaning Challenges” at 11 am Wednesday, September 26. This presentation addresses the current industry trends regarding board design functionality and the importance of cleaning PCBs as well as possible failure mechanisms that may result from not cleaning. Mr. Tosun will also address the issues associated with difficult to clean component types and configurations and the limitations of cleaning processes with regard to these difficult to clean components. This session is for PCB Designers, Assemblers, Engineers and the course rating is beginner to intermediate.
“Is Cleaning Critical to POP Assemblies” is scheduled for 2:30 pm also on Wednesday. Package on Package (POP) assemblies are widely growing in use for applications that require small footprint technology. Effective cleaning is necessary for POP Assemblies as it improves product reliability by ensuring optimal surface resistance and preventing current leakage that can lead to PCB failure. Mr. Tosun addresses the cleanliness level of POP assemblies including underneath POP components and in between packages. This session is for Assemblers and the course rating is beginner to intermediate.
