FCT Assembly announces that it is employing student interns from various universities in Northern Colorado to assist the company with some summer projects. The students will perform testing and research at the company’s Greeley, CO facility to ensure high-quality products.
“Our summer program provides a great opportunity for local students to learn about the electronics assembly industry and gain some experience in the current business world,” commented Mike Scimeca, President & CEO of FCT Assembly. “Having some extra hands at the facility means faster production and even more quality testing on top of the high standards we already adhere to.”
FCT’s interns currently are working on a wide array of projects including marketing and research support as well as the development of sales tools for the company’s sales personnel. They will perform paste testing and quality control, such as print and reflow studies. Labs tests to be performed by the interns will include viscosity, metal loading, tack testing and paste inspection. Additionally, the interns will perform stencil-coating studies to compare paste performance and develop new coatings, and research environmentally friendly, waterborne products as well as solder masking for the printed circuit fabrication industry.
