800ISP In-System Programming Station

BPM Microsystems has added the model 2800ISP In-System Programming Station to its device programming product line. By incorporating its award-winning 8th Generation site technology utilizing Vector Engine® BitBlast into a custom-designed test fixture, BPM Microsystems’ 2800ISP allows customers to program flash architectures including eMMC, PCM and Raw NAND, plus microcontrollers and other device technologies on-board after reflow.

We are excited to announce this cutting-edge technology to help solve our customers’ production programming challenges,” said James Holava, North America sales manager.  “Our customers needed a high-speed production programming solution that would program their high-density NAND devices after placement. The new 2800ISP combines unrivalled ISP programming speeds with all of the standard production quality controls included in our BPWin software. The 2800ISP also comes standard with our API tools for BPWin, enabling our customers to integrate with their MES, to monitor and control their entire programming process.”

Ideal for medium- to high-volume production, the 2800ISP is configurable and can program up to 16 devices in parallel. High-density flash memory devices are able to achieve read/write speeds up to 140 Mbits per second. This solves the test bottleneck while allowing the operator to program the latest data just-in-time, all while attaining a very low programming cost per device.

BPM Microsystems’ technical experts work with customers’ PCB design specifications to provide a custom turnkey solution. The 2800ISP includes the software and hardware to program on-board right out of the box. With a removable pogo-cassette, the programming station can be reconfigured in the future for new jobs. The robust fixture design can provide years of service and allows factories to easily duplicate the process locally and around the world.

The company will demonstrate the 2800ISP in Booth 3702 at the upcoming IPC/APEX conference and exhibition, scheduled to take place February 28-March 1, 2012 at the San Diego Convention Center in California.
