Beacon

Time is important to people, especially to those that need to be evacuated from a place. In order to have an adequate amount of time to evacuate the premises in the event of an emergency, it is important to receive the warning of danger as early as possible. Designed for use as part of a two-wire or four-wire alarm system, conventional sounders and beacons provide audible and/or visual indication when the alarm system has been activated. The beacons will send a strong signal that there is an emergency, and people need to be evacuated from the premises.

The majority of the beacons are enclosed by glass reinforced polyester to ensure that they are suitable for use offshore and onshore that might have a harsh environment. The lightweight and corrosion resistance features of the material used allow the beacon to be used for a long time. Some of the beacons are waterproof and are able to withstand some amount of water before it is damaged. Some beacons also come with the sounders, the beacons not only emit flashing light to provide visual alert but also emit loud noise as an audible alert.

Beacons are available through Quick Time Engineering Inc.

Sounders

Sounders is devices that are used in many hazardous areas to signal people to evacuate the premises in the event of an emergency or relay instructions. Sounders can be operated as stand-alone units or be incorporated into a hazard warning system. If it is incorporated into a hazard warning system and an emergency occurs, it will automatically emit the loud sound that meant to alert the people to evacuate of the premises when the hazard warning system is triggered by the detectors or manual switch. Personnel working in the facility are able to evacuate from the premises even if they are wearing ear protection as synchronized sounders will give a more effective and louder alert.

Manual Alarm Call Points

Manual alarm call points are designed specifically for the purpose of raising an alarm manually once verification of a fire or emergency condition exists, by operating the push button or break glass the alarm signal can be raised.

Manual alarm call points are typically installed at a height of 1.4m above floor level at an easily accessible and conspicuous position. Installing it at the height of 1.4m ensures that the majority of the kids will not be able to reach it and push the button. These manual alarm call points all are designed and built to be used in hazardous locations and harsh environmental conditions.

Some manual alarm call points enclosure is suitable for the use of onshore or offshore where lightweight combined with a high level of corrosion resistance is required.

Manual Alarm Call Points are available through Quick Time Engineering Inc.
