May 19, 2021 Living in the modern world, we never have a day without utilizing or or encountering an actuator. Actuator is a device that makes something move or operate. Actuator can make something move in two motion, linear motion and rotary motion.
Linear actuator moves something in a straight line. Example of linear actuator we take advantages every day is automatic every day is automatic shopping mall door that move sideways when sensing movement. Rotary actuator on the other hand, move something in circular motion. Example of rotary actuator is pick-and-place handles where rotary actuators are used to rotate allowing the handles to move freely and pick up objects as intended.

Typically electric actuator are electric motors. The second source of energy is incompressible liquid where hydraulic actuator uses incompressible liquid to move or operate something. The third source of energy is compressed air. Compressed air is used by pneumatic actuator to move or operate something. Example of pneumatic actuator is pneumatic control valve.
