Scienscope International received a 2022 Mexico Technology Award in the category of Labeling for its IMS-200. The award was announced during a ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, during SMTA Guadalajara in Mexico.

Accurate component labeling is vital for inventory management and production efficiency.Currently, this is a time-consuming, labor-intensive process. Most machines require an operator to load and run through each reel to label and introduce each component. The result is less time and labor to count and more error-proof recording of the results.
The IMS-200 is a fully-automated system that comes complete and ready to start automation. The automatic conveyor makes it easy for the user to place the reels, and the loading begins automatically. Once completed, the unique label ID is printed and placed automatically.
The system has an extensive comprehensive component library and is capable of learning components as alternative components are introduced. The IMS-200 makes it easy to relabel components quickly. The IMS-200 can learn labels from multiple suppliers, load purchase orders from the central system, match line items and PN, count component quantity, and print and place a new label with a Unique ID.
