Jul 11, 2013 Saline Lectronics, Inc., a leading domestic contract manufacturer, announce that its Manufacturing Manager, Jason Sciberras, will speak on the upcoming panel with the Ann Arbor Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, July 13, 2013. The panel will be held in conjunction with the exclusive Ann Arbor premier of “American Made Movie” at the Michigan Theater. The discussion will consist of a Q&A session with a panel of local manufacturers about the future of manufacturing in the United States.
As Manufacturing Manager at Saline Lectronics, Jason Sciberras is responsible for everything related to the production floor including executing new processes and procedures, personnel issues and quality improvements. As an 11-year veteran at Saline Lectronics, Sciberras is the ideal candidate to manage the production team.
Within different roles, Sciberras has successfully initiated and implemented innovative changes for Saline Lectronics that have directly contributed to its growth and success. As Documentation Manager, Sciberras was a key player in Saline Lectronics obtaining its first ISO 9001 certification in 2002. Later, as Quality Manager, Sciberras implemented new standards to effectively track quality initiatives to ensure traceability. While Production Scheduler, Sciberras helped to implement Saline Lectronics’ fully automated planning and scheduling tool, which offers more flexibility due to the live information it presents. Also holding positions within Sales and IT, Sciberras is prepared for any type of situation – he can placate an angry customer effectively and fix a Surface Mount machine in a pinch.
Constantly pushing for improvement through change, Sciberras has helped Saline Lectronics grow from an $8 million to $35 million company. He has stayed informed of the changing technology within the electronic manufacturing industry by attending SMTA workshops and classes. Sciberras attended a Dale Carnegie Course in Effective Speaking and Human Relations to learn techniques on how to better manage his employees. He believes a company is only as good as its people and wants to bring out the best in his personnel. Well known for doing whatever it takes, Sciberras is always willing to try something new for the betterment of Saline Lectronics and its customers.
