Anadigm Names Industry-Veteran Brian Hodges as New Marketing VP

May 13, 2003

A fabless semiconductor company headquartered in Campbell, Calif., and Crewe, U.K., Anadigm provides field programmable analog array (FPAA) integrated circuits and associated design software that greatly reduce the time, effort, and expense required to create real-world interfaces in industrial, communications, automotive, audio capture, and environmental control systems.

Mr. Hodges has held a variety of sales and marketing positions in the semiconductor industry. Most recently as Intersils director of worldwide sales, major accounts, Mr. Hodges led the team that grew market share for the companys power management IC business to the No. 1 position for the world motherboard market. As product line director for signal processing and standard analog ICs at Harris Semiconductor, he transformed the companys analog IC product line into its most profitable operation.

Brians experience in identifying and capitalizing on new analog markets will play a key role in Anadigms aggressive growth strategy, which is focused on penetrating high-volume opportunities for our field programmable analog arrays, said William McLean, Anadigm president and CEO. His customer-centric approach fully complements our commitment to application-driven innovation and will help us to accelerate the creation of products optimized to the needs of high-growth markets.

Anadigms proprietary FPAA technology brings the industry an analog equivalent to the field programmable gate array (FPGA), allowing complex analog signal conditioning and processing functions to be integrated within an off-the-shelf, pre-tested device. The companys latest FPAAs are the industrys first such devices that can be reconfigured and reprogrammed in real time by an embedded microprocessor, allowing a single device to implement multiple analog functions and/or to adapt on the fly to maintain precision operation despite system degradation and aging.

"Anadigm's programmable analog technology is an exceptionally innovative solution that promises to transform how real-world interfaces are designed and implemented," Mr. Hodges said. "Over the course of my career, I've worked to bring to market a very wide range of analog ICs, and I'm excited about establishing Anadigm's FPAAs as a high-growth product category in the analog space."
