Baldor Outsources PCB Assembly

Mar 10, 2003

GSPK Electronics has secured a substantial full-turn supply and manufacturing agreement with Baldor UK to provide assembled circuit boards right through to box build and test.

Baldor provides machine designers and users of its products with high quality, advanced motion control products to the medical, textile, packaging and PCB handling industries on a global basis.

Steve Lloyd, Sales and Marketing Director at GSPK Electronics said: "We have worked very closely with Baldor for approximately 6 years but they have historically only required our assembled circuit board expertise.

As specialists within the marketplace we have been able to provide a vital all encompassing and comprehensive service which led us to further negotiations.

Not only have we provided a complete service from under one roof to support Baldor's needs, but we have competently reduced supply chain requirements".

David Middleton, Business Leader at GSPK Electronics has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the power and automation industry and heads up this major contract.

The contract is a breakthrough in business expansion for both companies as GSPK Electronics focus on new service development in acting as an extension to the design, purchasing and manufacturing departments.

This forward thinking and innovative approach to conducting business has proven to be a win-win for all concerned and clearly of major benefit in what are very competitive markets.

"In choosing GSPK Electronics we were confident in their capability to provide value manufacturing with a customer focused approach", comments Dave Westley, Purchasing Manager at Baldor.

"The flexibility and technical support offered by the company has supplied us with a unique provision, a quality product and peace of mind.

This differentiation within the marketplace was a major feature in highlighting GSPK Electronics to us and was a factor in being awarded this business".
