Nextek Selects Valor To Improve DFM Quality

Oct 24, 2002

Lake Forest, California, USA, 24th October 2002, Valor Computerized Systems, Inc. welcomes Alabama (US) based Nextek, Inc., an EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) provider specializing in Product Realization Services for leading-edge Printed Circuit Board (PCB), Microelectronic and Optoelectronic technologies, to its list of clients. Nextek will implement the Trilogy 5000 engineering platform to improve design-to-assembly analysis and increase pre-manufacturing quality assurance standards with Valors selection of comprehensive DFM (Design for Manufacturability) tools.

DFM has become an integral part of Nexteks workflow-process to manage and maintain high quality levels in PCB assembly. Nexteks DFM capabilities are even further extended through the subscription to the Valor Parts Library (VPL), a unique online database consisting of over 30 million electronic component package-models with accurate geometries, which complement the design verification process by increasing the DFM scope to include component placement factors.

Valors Trilogy 5000 platform will be applied to Nexteks manufacturing workflow to provide time-cutting advantages that minimize NPI cycle times and costly revision spins, adding to the increase in quality levels.

Valor provides us with one integrated solution for DFM which covers assembly, fabrication and test, helping us to measurably increase our quality output in PCB manufacturing results. As an EMS provider for highly complex PCB technologies we are now positioning ourselves to provide an even more comprehensive and coherent service to manage the specific technology demands of our customers says Phil Yates, Chief Technology Officer at Nextek.

Mr. Chuck Feingold, President of Valors US operation complements We provided a software solution to Nextek which will help them to improve their NPI turn-around and increase their quality level of pre-assembly design verifications for even the most complex PCB designs. We are also certain that Nexteks excellent reputation in the specialized EMS market can only further increase when using Valors proven DFM optimization solution to master next-generation PCB designs for their clients.
