Agilent Technologies' New 10 MHz Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator Provides High-Quality Waveforms at Economical Price

Sep 08, 2008

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today introduced a new member of the function/arbitrary waveform family that delivers high-quality waveforms at an economical price. For design development and test engineers who need lower-frequency signals without sacrificing accuracy, this new instrument easily generates the waveforms needed for bench and system applications.

"Engineers in R&D and manufacturing need an easy way to create accurate and reliable waveforms, and only want to buy what they need," said Gary Whitman, vice president and general manager of Agilent's System Products Division. "The 33210A generates waveforms with the low harmonic distortion and amplitude stability important to engineers for testing and qualification of their devices and designs. With minimal button pushes, it allows users to easily generate high-quality signals and even custom waveforms all at a lower price point."

The 33210A provides stable, accurate and low-distortion signals with up to 10 built-in waveforms. It is the newest member of the market-leading product family that includes the 33220A and 33250A higher-performance, higher frequency function/arbitrary waveform generators. The front panel has an easy-to-use interface, allowing the user to quickly set up and generate many types of signals without the need to program the instrument. For more complex waveforms, the optional 14-bit 50 MSa/s 8K point arbitrary waveform generator (option 002) can be added to the base unit.

The 33210A is fully compliant with the LXI class C specification. It has USB 2.0, 10/100 Base-T Ethernet (LAN) and GPIB interfaces as standard features, enabling quick and simple connectivity to a PC or a network. In addition, it can be remotely operated from any browser by simply connecting to its built-in Web page.

U.S. Pricing and Availability

The Agilent 33210A 10 MHz Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator is available now and priced at $1,195 for the base model. The optional 14-bit 50 MSa/s 8K point arbitrary waveform generator (option 002) is also available. For a limited time, this option will be offered at no additional cost.
