STI to Feature Its Full Range of Services at SMTAI 2009

Sep 18, 2009

MADISON, AL — September 2009 — STI Electronics Inc., a full service organization providing training, electronic and industrial sales and distribution, consulting, laboratory analysis, prototyping, and small- to medium-volume PCB assembly, announces that it will feature its full range of services in booth 300 at the upcoming SMTA International, scheduled to take place October 6-7, 2009 at The Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego.

STI’s Engineering Services Department will feature analytical, microelectronics, IC/DT and contract manufacturing lab services. This division is a multifaceted technical organization whose common goal is to provide engineering support in the field of electronics manufacturing. From product design and manufacturability analysis to pre-production prototype and development, STI’s Prototype and Development Lab is a full-service design review and pre-production facility. As problems arise in the manufacturing process, the Analytical Lab provides a wide range of services designed to characterize materials, detect failure modes, and perform exploratory analysis of products or processes. Furthermore, the Contract Engineering Services group stands poised to take on a range of technical challenges including hardware reviews, design validation, and production readiness assessments.

The company’s Training Resources Department will feature IPC courses, training kits and a BGA reballing kit. The Training Materials Division of STI Electronics is the largest provider of resources supporting process development and solder/assembly training worldwide. These resources are available as standardized kits and materials or customized for specific applications. Standardized training kits are used in certification programs for industry segments such as IPC, NASA, commercial and even company-unique programs.

In addition to the standardized training program support materials, STI Electronics provides unique or custom training materials ranging from chip scale and BGA to through-hole and terminal attachments. STI also provides cable and harness kits to support cable fabrication programs. Process development kits for machine applications provide an opportunity to evaluate operation capabilities for issues such as fine-pitch production and lead-free materials.
