PROMATION Introduces Bottom Side Screw Fastening Robot

The AST-700 has been designed to offer manufacturers the ability to selective fasten components using screws from the bottom side after odd form placement. The work cell utilizes a bowl style feeding system with blow feeder to automatically present and drive screws into the desired locations. This high precision robotic gantry system offers fully programmable X, Y & Z motion with in-line conveyor, positive PCB stop location / clamping, and programmable fastening locations.

The screw driver system incorporates a 2nd chance feature with screw detection and purge function to prevent false error. While a variety of different drivers may be designed into the work cell, HIOS drivers and Nitto Seiko are standard.
