APEX Visitors Invited for FREE Process Advice

Mar 19, 2009

Mass Imaging leader and screen printing technology pioneer, DEK, is inviting all APEX attendees to discover how to get even more out of their print process and yield better products while lowering overall costs. From booth #2412, DEK technology experts will share their know-how and decades of experience to help assemblers realize a more robust and cost-effective screen printing operation. Seminars are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. March 31st - April 1st and at 11:00 a.m. April 2nd.

These seminars aren't about touting a product or a service, explains DEK Americas General Manager, Brian Lau. This information forum draws on our 40 plus years of experience and applies what we've learned to real-world results. We'll share what's been uncovered from recent product evaluations and customer case-studies there is a lot to be gained by anyone willing to invest 15 minutes of their time.

Part of the data presented will center on results from a recent stencil study that evaluated the impact of stencil metallization and manufacturing techniques. With a variety of stencil material types on the market today everything from stainless steel to nickel it is often difficult to know which stencil material or format is best for a particular process. DEK has collected the volumetric results of print deposits from a selection of different stencil materials and, during the seminar, will discuss result comparisons and process recommendations.

In addition, DEK application specialists will deliver findings from a recent EMS customer study that analyzed equipment selection and productivity tools, proving how proper use of systems can positively impact yield and reduce costs. The study was a multi-phase evaluation consisting of printing machine and printing process analysis of an SMT line at a high-volume auto parts supplier. Results revealed that fully utilizing the power of the installed print platform can result in significant cost savings, as well as deliver throughput and yield improvements.

DEK is committed to ensuring an exceptionally low cost of ownership and a superior print operation, concludes Lau. These latest studies reveal how we are doing just that and we hope that APEX visitors take full advantage of DEK's knowledge base, being shared for free at next month's event.
