Kester Successfully Completes Headquarters Expansion Project

Mar 18, 2009

ITASCA, IL March 2009 Kester announces that it recently completed an expansion project at its Itasca, IL headquarters facility to dedicate more floor space to Solder Paste and Tacky Soldering Flux products.

The expansion project increased Kester's usable floor space for its highly engineered products lines by more than 3,000 sq ft. The scope of the project was centered on improving the environmental control for these critical products, and to ultimately improve product quality as a result. This expansion project also will allow Kester to employ lean manufacturing techniques that will improve lead times.

While other companies are struggling to stay in business, Kester has successfully finished expanding its capabilities at its headquarters facility. This demonstrates Kester's forward-thinking management, dedication to quality, financial stability, and willingness to invest in the future of its business and its customers.

This expansion project exhibits Kester's supreme dedication to improve our core business from an operational and quality standpoint, even when economics may not be favorable for such an endeavor, said Brian Smith, Kester's Director of Marketing and Product Technology.
