Inline OptiCon Speed Line, shown, adds automated optical inspection to your production line. Also available as a standalone system.

Camera-based automated optical systems are a cost-effective method of inspecting many of the physical properties of assembled printed circuit boards. There are some things, however, that cameras cannot inspect. These include BGA/CSP and flip chip co-planarity, pin height, lifted components, and even the tightness of screws. To eliminate these problems and to inspect for a greater number of faults, the OptiCon automated optical inspection systems offer laser height measurement with 15m accuracy. Available as standalone or inline systems, OptiCon machines combine fast, easy test generation with well-designed camera/illumination configurations for lightning-fast inspections of assemblies with chips as small as 0201s and QFPs down to 0.2mm pitch. Optical character recognition (OCR) for reading component laser labels is included with every system, as is CAD download software.
