Wear resistance PCB finishing

Electronics Forum | Wed Feb 23 02:20:09 EST 2000 | Roni H.

Hi, I need a wear resistance PCB finishing over bare copper (If exist!), the surface have a moving part which slides over it and bare copper as a surface is not good enough. I'll apprechiate any information. Thanks Roni

PCB designers specify the application of solder mask [eg, varnish, solder stop mask, solder resist, etc] to fabricators to reduce the potential of bridging between two conductive traces during assembly soldering processes [eg, wave, reflow and hand s

Photoresist+ Peel of Cu surface

Flexible substrate coated by PR+, found many open trace. The Photo resist peels off from CU surface randomly creating open circuit during devolopement. Any ideas???

There's some good background information on SIR [surface insulation resistance] on the web. Here's an example: http://www.tracelabs.com/TechLibraryDoc.aspx?id=4 Look to IPC-9201 - Surface Insulation Resistance Handbook SIR readings vary with: * C

Can static built up on the surface of a reel be removed?

Electronics Forum | Tue Jun 21 17:27:10 EDT 2022 | kojotssss

Offcourse, RH is between 47-50%. The cause of problem is that the one of the embossed carrier reels/package materials coming from supplier static charged. Material now is like insulating, not dissipative or conductive. Example: https://drive.google.

OSP and SIR

We are using OSP coated boards and no-clean solder paste. In a few instances, we are seeing increased distortion in an audio circuit. Has anybody seen or heard of surface insulation resistance (SIR) decreasing after reflow on OSP boards? Is it possib
