Counterfeit components have been defined as a growing concern in recent years as demand increases for reducing costs. In fact the Department of Commerce has identified a 141% increase in the last three years alone. A counterfeit is any item that is not as it is represented with the intention to deceive its buyer or user. The misrepresentation is ...
Much has been said and written about the accuracy of visual attribute inspections of potentially counterfeit components. The techniques and procedures being used to inspect counterfeit and reworked electronic components in the open marketplace can be quite effective in most cases.
In this paper I will discuss the different methods and equipment used to detect counterfeit electronic parts, specifically integrated circuits as well as demonstrate some of the "red flags" that help to identify a part as being suspected counterfeit. We will begin with the initial receipt of the parts and the examination of the outer ...
The rat lungworm, Angiostrongylus cantonensis, is an emerging veterinary and public health concern. We describe A. cantonensis infections in a zoo-housed parma wallaby and free-ranging Virginia opossums and roof rats in San Diego, California, USA. Angiostrongyliasis should be considered in central nervous system disease in humans and animals in this region.
Changing platforms -- Looking to add another Selective Solder to the 3 Nordson/ACE machines we have. Not convinced that Nordson/ACE is best choice now, support has waned lately. Asking for recommendations/suggestions on other manufacturers.
UIC Genesis PC Motherboard Swap - BusMgr Not Installed in Registry -- Our genesis machine (4992B) has a failing motherboard causing the pc to reboot randomly. We swapped the motherboard with the same model and spare from UIC but the machine is not loading correctly. The epc emulator shows error "BusMgr NOT installed in registry. pC motherboard installation.
I have not found anything in uic documentation detailing this error or how to install BusMgr in the registry.
Has anyone had to deal with this issue before?
Thanks!
