MT2 control unit Description:

This device was designed to manage high precision single plane x-y positioning systems. Although MT2 was conceived mainly to control finite rotation movements, it can also work with direct cycle motors and, for exemplum, it can also be used as speed control device. MT2 is managed by a serial interface with a dedicated protocol. It is possible to set out the motor rotation speed (from 35 up to 1000 half-step/second or from 3,5 up to 100 half-step/second, depending on the selected model of MT2). The rotation speed is not linearly reached: acceleration and deceleration follow a profile optimizing the motor supplied couple. The card has small dimensions and can be connected directly to stepper motors with nominal current up to 0,6A. A power buffer can be integrate for higher currents. One input for limit/home detection per axis is provided
