IONOX® FCR - High Strength Semi-Aqueous Electronics Cleaner Description:

IONOX® FCR is a solvent blend designed for removing rosin, low solids and water soluble fluxes while being environmentally friendly. Easy to use, FCR is applied as received. A water rinse is required to remove all traces of soils and cleaner residues from substrate surfaces.

IONOX® FCR is a highly dispersive cleaning agent engineered to remove organic acid, rosin and no-clean flux residues. IONOX® FCR is a bio-based, environmentally friendly, naturally derived, biodegradable cleaning agent. The key ingredient within IONOX® FCR comes from natural resource biomass extracts. IONOX® FCR has superior solvency for carboxylic acid structures, rosins, resins and ionic contaminants.

IONOX® FCR has a low vapor pressure, which reduces concerns of flammability and smell. The molecular structures used within the engineered composition provide a dispersive, polarity and hydrogen bonding balance. The dispersive driver provides strong solubility with rosin and resin structures. The polarity driver provides Van der Waals forces of attraction for mild acidic soils. The hydrogen bonding driver provides water solubility and the ability to remove ionic contaminates. These forces work in combination to form the ideal electronic assembly and packaging cleaning agent.

IONOX® FCR is compatible with a wide range of alloys including copper, aluminum, nickel, lead, tin, silver and gold. Low surface tension improves cleaning under the Z-axis of the component or package. IONOX® FCR is designed to be processed in semi-aqueous centrifugal, spray under immersion, ultrasonic and mega-sonic tools.

A major benefit of IONOX® FCR is its complete water solubility. This enhances the ease of rinsing and removal of ionic contamination. IONOX® FCR is buffered to maintain a stable pH over a wide level of flux loading. The flash point of this product ranges from 163-183°F, depending on the flash point method used. IONOX® FCR has been used within industry for over 20 years and has a long heritage of successful use. IONOX® FCR is compatible with most materials of construction and metallic alloys.
