PCB TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR
Job Summary:
Individual will have primary responsibility over PCB Test, Troubleshooting and Repair functions in a high-volume production environment. Individual will be responsible for directing and coordinating all team activities required to meet production schedules in accordance with established quality standards; includes responsibility for review plans and daily output; has ownership within the workplace to ensure a safe, clean, and ESD free environment; provide team leadership to ensure an active quality program; collect and analyze data from test and configuration operations, functional and system test yields, and report data to manufacturing and quality management; ensure adequate levels of trained team members exist or schedule training as necessary; responsible for annual performance appraisals as well as any disciplinary actions required; establish measurement systems for attendance, production performance, and test yields; advance the principles and use of Tellabs systems such as JIT, TQC and DFT; plan daily and weekly production schedules within the workcenter; Individual will be responsible for selecting, interviewing and hiring, and for supervising 1 - 3 workcenters of up to 40 workers.
Required Skills:
- Individual must have excellent communication skills
- Strong ability to delegate assignments effectively and monitor completeness
- Knowledge of JIT/TQC principles
- Possess proven supervisory/leadership skills
- Ability to motivate team members.
- Excellent electronics troubleshooting skills are required.
- SMT (Surface Mount Technology) a plus.
- Experience in supervision of at least 20 technicians in the testing/repair of PCB's and/or electronic systems and functional test experience also needed.
- Proven ability to initiate and implement process improvements important.
Experience:
- SAP knowledge/experience a plus.
- Inventory accuracy principles/experience a plus.
- DFT (Demand Flow Technology) experience a plus.
- Knowledge of PC software (Excel, Word , Harvard Graphics, and/or Power Point preferred).
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (Electronics/Technical preferred) plus 2 years manufacturing supervisory experience.
