Product Technician

Tests, troubleshoots and repairs production electronic components, parts, equipment and systems. Must understand board layout and assembly procedures, electronic componentry, engineering drawings, design details and functionality of electronic units. Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. Set up standard test apparatus or devise test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of production units. Analyze and interpret test data. Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry evaluation equipment. Must know and operate analytical equipment such as scopes, power supplies, etc. Must have knowledge of IPC design and workmanship standards. Must have high school diploma or equivalent plus vocational training. Associate Degree preferred plus five years experience.
