Quality Engineer

TeligentEMS is an electronic contract manufacturer(CM) located in Tallahassee, FL.  The Quality Engineer provides technical, administrative and supervisory support to the company' quality systems, process control systems and quality assurance personnel.  This person will perform internal audits and support, monitor and improve the ISO9001 and ISO13485 quality systems.  The position provides support to the Material Review Board (MRB) team and works with the materials team and external suppliers to resolve component quality issues.  They will review, evaluate and present quality data and also develop and/or support procedures and policies as necessary for this area.  Provide technical and non-technical support and training to personnel at all levels for quality topics.  Work with the engineering department to provide technical support and solutions.  This person will indirectly supervise the inspectors, including managing their time.  Must have the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, suppliers and customers.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (Technical) from a four year college or university is required and 5 years experience in related position; or equivalent combination of education and experience in electronic manufacturing environment.  A working knowledge of statistical process control, design of experiments, problem solving skills, PFMEA, ISO901/13485/AS9100 and excellent PC skills (including Microsoft Excel) and IPC600/IPC/IPC620.
