Process Engineer

Western Electronics, a high tech contract manufacturing company is currently recruiting for a Process Engineer to assist in integrating new products into production through manufacturing process design and flow. Position responsibilities include:

• Develop facility layouts, line design, process and material flows, and tooling design.
• Develop and maintain other manufacturing methods and procedures to ensure system efficiencies.
• Perform root cause analysis and corrective action on internal quality, process, or associated problems.
• Design and submit orders for tooling and fixtures to optimize the manufacturing process.
• Develop and coordinate data collection and reporting for cost savings, tooling purchases, and expenditure reporting.
• Identify and measure variance in standards and controls. Research cause and recommend associated resolution.
• Assist production in maintaining efficient processes and management tools.
• Perform process capability and labor studies, time standard measurements, and other process-related evaluations.
• Implement and maintain capable manufacturing processes and procedures.

Successful candidates must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or related field plus five years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prefer experience with electronics contract manufacturing, and cable & wire harness manufacturing processes.
• Strong PC skills using MS Word, Excel, and applicable software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and customer relations skills
