Purchasing Engineer

PURCHASING ENGINEER As a key member of our purchasing/materials group you will be the technical advisor of purchasing to engineering and our suppliers. Primary responsibilities include driving process improvements with suppliers to increase quality levels and reduce costs. You will drive and implement value analysis projects. Additionally you will perform component level process capability studies early in the design process, and assist strategic purchasing in second source component qualifications. Qualifications include: a BSEE, BSME, or BS in Physics with knowledge of electrical component capability and selection. Must have excellent analytical and communication skills. This position is ideal for a design engineer who would like to move out of engineering towards an operations or business role.
