Field Service Engineer

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to demonstrate and support our complete line of equipment, including simulations, demonstrations, training and support on solder paste inspection, robotic soldering, AOI, clean room ovens, test systems and other advanced manufacturing equipment.

CGI Americas represents some of the leading test & inspection manufacturers in the industry. The successful candidate will service the North American market, with travel throughout the US, Mexico, and Canada when necessary.

Duties include:

• Train at supplier facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia and read manuals and other specifications to determine installation and repair procedures.
• Consult with customers to plan layout and installation of equipment.
• Demonstrate, install and repair equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
• Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and repair equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and standard calibration instruments and hand tools.
• Train customer staff and subcontracting engineers in first level maintenance and repair of equipment. Consult with engineering personnel at both suppliers and customers to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.

Requirements:

• Ability to travel frequently
• Experience in AOI, SPI or Test Systems
• 3 years of related SMT or equipment experience
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical / electronic systems
• Minimum 2 year associates degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
• Flexibility to work overtime and if necessary weekends
• Mechanical, PLC, robotics experience is beneficial
