Job Description:

Growing contract electronic manufacturer seeking to fill multiple positions:

SMT Operator/Programmer

Individual will determine and specify, revise and/or review, the most economic methods, operation sequence and tooling for the fabrication of printed circuit boards by setting-up and operating a surface mount pick and place machine.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist to modify existing programs and operate a surface mount pick and place machine to include paste printing and when necessary hand placement of components.
  • Establish priorities and proceed with objectives in order to adhere to the production schedule accordingly, with direction from the Lead.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems occurring during the operation of the pick and place machine, with direction from the Lead.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or Lead.  May be required to assist with reflow oven profiling.
  • Communicate status of deliverables and issue with production schedule compliance to sales/marketing in a timely manner.
  • Assist with changes to recurring programs and with the development of new programs.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of one year experience in an operator or supporting role; experience with Juki a plus but not required.  Must be able to read/write English.  IPC certification is not required, but knowledge of J-Standards and 610 critical.  Qualified applicants only need apply.  We strive to hire professionals with a good work ethic and excellent attendance who are quality minded.  Shift is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Overtime is required when production schedules dictate the need.

AOI Operator/Programmer

Individual will be responsible for changes to recurring inspection recipes and developing new recipes.  Daily workload will consist of  running the recipes in a timely manner based on production schedule and the direction of the Quality Supervisor.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Using supplied data, create or modify AOI recipes.
  • Using familiarity with IPC-A-610 Class II and III in addition to J-Standards, inspect finished articles.
  • Use high-powered microscope to conduct 1st and 2nd article inspections.
  • Use naked eye to conduct 1st and 2nd article inspections.
  • Compare finished products to Customer Bill of Material for accuracy in terms of components used, board population, electronic assembly, etc.
  • Label all visible defects and communicate with production until resolution is satisfactory.
  • Complete inspection reports.

Qualifications
