Job Description:

The Manufacturing Engineer must be a qualified person who supports existing manufacturing processes as well as develops innovative manufacturing processes for a wide variety of products.  The duties of this position will be to improve quality and develop and improve new and existing manufacturing processes.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provides Manufacturing with processes, tooling, fixtures, assembly aids, etc. to improve quality      and manufacturability.
  • Assumes responsibility for assigned product lines; creates applicable documentation, resolves day- to day production issues, improves existing processes, etc.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and provide input on new product designs
  • Initiates and sometimes constructs tooling, fixtures, and assembly aids.
  • Recommends and installs necessary process improvements to reduce manufacturing costs while
  • maintaining and/or increasing the quality and reliability.
  • Oversees the building of production prototypes for new and custom products in the development
  • stages of the projects.

Requirements:

  • BS degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in printed circuit board assembly manufacturing processes is a must. This includes
  • through-hole.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with manufacture of electro-mechanical products. Strong
  • background in electronic and mechanical troubleshooting,
