SMT Process Engineering & Production Mgr.

Client company is a small electronics manufacturing services company that provides fully integrated manufacturing and test services to leading OEMs in the semiconductor, telecommunications, networking, medical, industrial controls, Radio Frequency (RF), and other high-technology industries. Job Description: Oversee the activities related to the technical support and process development engineering functions of the SMT manufacturing area. Plan and implement the development of new and scale-up processes. Establish operating equipment specifications and monitor equipment performance. Lead efforts to achieve cost effectiveness and improve product quality. Select, develop and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the SMT area. Key Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the surface mount manufacturing area in a contract manufacturing organization including the following: 1)Manage a group of 3 to 4 process engineers to meet efficiency targets 2)Manage a group of 3 to 4 maintenance technicians to meet uptime goals 3)Manage a group of approx. 30 SMT production and setup staff to meet scheduling requirements. 4)Focus entire SMT team to meet quality targets Requirements: Candidate must have a BS degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience) 7 � 10 years of SMT engineering experience. Must have management experience and strong leadership skills. Experience with CIM systems Prior work at a contract manufacturer is a plus
