Surface Grinder/Lapper Operator Position Overview We currently have an excellent career opportunity for a Surface Grinder/Lapper Operator to join our Ceramics team at our Channel Products, Inc. facility in Chesterland, OH. This position is responsible for grinding Piezoceramic material to a specific thickness or frequency based on the drawing specifications. Duties and Responsibilities �X Operate surface grinder to maintain the desired thickness of Peizoceramic material with minimal amount of scrap. �X Measure and record thickness of parts after being ground assuring parts are within specifications. �X Responsible for correctly mixing lapping compound according to procedure. �X Ability to identify destroyed or worn carriers. Notify Supervisor to order replacement parts. �X Monitor microgrit inventory. Notify Supervisor when inventory is below minimum requirements. �X Record quantities produced on work orders assuring production orders are met. �X Responsible for general machine maintenance. (cleanliness) �X Responsible for knowing and understanding the quality policy and how your position contributes to the overall success of the company. �X Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company��s Vision, Mission, Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers. Qualifications Required �X High school diploma or GED preferred �X Ability to use inspection tools, i.e. calipers, micrometers, scales and other inspection tools. �X Ability to read basic engineering drawings, and understand tolerances. �X Easily adapts to change �X Demonstrated communication skills. �X Basic math skills.
