Project Engineer, Sr. - Bosch Benchtop

�As the head of a Product Design Group, leads group in the development of a line of products or single product of high complexity. �Directs and monitors others to assure product quality and conformance to goals. �Takes initiative to deal directly with other departments in order to overcome obstacles. �Acts without the need for supervisory approval to solve both technical and non-technical problems. �Discusses project issues with all management levels with confidence and authority. �Through drawings or other documents, clearly define requirement of design. �Through analysis, determine and optimize the design. �Develop and track test plans. �Lead others to do work effectively. Provide assistance in determining product goals. �Plan and manage resources to meet schedules. Train employees in proper procedures. �Clearly and frequently communicate with all functional areas, supervisors and suppliers when appropriate purchasing protocol is followed. �Control cost and manufacturability of design.

Job Requirements:

�Bachelor�s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent 8 years of experience �Post Graduate Degree in related Engineering Studies field preferred �7 + years of mainly power tool �design experience and application knowledge on a variety of products utilizing the following manufacturing processes: molding, casting, machining, stamping, powder metals and other volume fabrication methods. �7+ years of mainly power tool �design experience with emphasis on a specific product line. �Possess an in-depth understanding of the Design, Application and Marketing trade-offs. �Detailed knowledge of the components and processes used in this line of products. �Proficient with CAD software, preferably Pro/Engineer (or printed circuit layout programs preferably �OrCAD� and familiar with programming microprocessors). �7 + years of product design or project engineering �Experience in global business environment / multi-national operations. �Proficiency with desktop applications like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. �Demonstrated ability to design and successfully introduce a new project into production, on time, at cost, with quality and overcoming obstacles. �Major contiributions in creating new products, patents and cost effective designs. �A demonstrated ability to handle new types of products. Taking management�s perspective to define needs and develop goals. �Power tool design is preferred or equivalent extensive experience using the same processes would be acceptable.
