ASIC Designer

Will be responsible for development and socketization tasks involving new and acquired IP cores. Required skills (under I and II) include but are not limited to: (I) in-depth working knowledge of microprocessor-based systems and peripherals. The knowledge base must extend to include HW/SW interfaces and issues involving operation systems, compilers, linkers, debuggers, etc. combined with the ability to run and analyze development system evaluations. (II) Experience in Networking products and standards (such as 10/100 MAC, Gigabit MAC, SONET Framer, Utopia, etc. Home Gateway Access and Wireless technologies. Expert level knowledge of Verilog and VHDL languages, RTL coding, logic design, design implementation using standard cell design flow and the use of design automation tools including design verification. Requirements:BSEE/MSEE with 4-5 plus years of experience. Knowledge of Verilog/VHDL, Synopsys tools and back-end flow (place & route knowledge). Experience in development and verification of product designs described under (I) & (II) above involving ASIC and/or ASSP. In-depth understanding of logic design, verification and synthesis. Familiarity with PC and SUN workstation equipment.
