IPC/WHMA-A-620 Instructor Recertification

The IPC/WHMA-A-620 Instructor Training is designed to teach and certify that others can learn discrimination skills; that is, to improve accuracy of discriminating between an acceptable or not acceptable cable or wire harness assembly per the IPC/WHMA-A-620 document.

This is a 4-day, lecture course that teaches students the accept/reject criteria in the IPC-A-620, for all three classes of cable and wire harness assembly. Additional hands-on instruction in wire and cable assembly are not included but can be added to the coursework.

This program will also teach potential instructors on the accept/reject criteria and how to teach same to enhance their ability to consistently and correctly apply the discrimination criteria.

Who Should Become A WHMA-A-620 Trainer?

Anyone responsible for the quality and reliability of cables and wire harnesses should consider becoming an IPC-A-620 CIT Certified IPC Trainer. Trainers and quality supervisors versed in electronic assembly are excellent candidates for A-620 training, as are engineering and manufacturing supervisors with assembly responsibilities. The IPC-A-620 IPC Trainer Training and Certification Course is a comprehensive four (4) day review of the IPC-A-620 Standard.
