Does anyone know whether it's possible, given a copy of OS/2 Warp 4, and the Universal software, to set up a standalone box, not connected to the machine itself, in order to do programming, etc, faster?

I've got the feeling it is, but I'd hate to invest the time getting it set up, only to find that the product editor won't run without the machine there.

Not a problem. Install it as PC during the installation. Of course there is the license issue though. The license does not cover an offline PC.
